I purchased these clubs 6 months ago and have played about 10 rounds with them. These clubs are terrific. I was having trouble breaking 90 with my old clubs and have since knocked 5 strokes off my game. The yardage is very consistent (verified via GPS). All in all highly recommend these clubs.

Great Improvement. Great distance. Great confidence!!, September 6, 2012

I’m a high handicapper. My clubs the last few years have been 2008 Callaway Berthas – and while my 6 thru 9 irons where pretty strong, I’ve never been able to get my lower irons to elevate. Additionally, while Bertha’s are supposed to increase confidence, the clubs are so dense, I’ve never been able to get the ‘feel’ that bodes confidence.

Well, I recently took a trip and didn’t bring my clubs with me. So, when I went to play a round of golf, I ended up renting clubs. Taylormade Burner 2.0s… and I was skeptical on how I would hit them. I can tell you that after I hit 3 balls on the range warming up I knew I’d end up buying a set. What I didn’t expect was that I’d end up shooting one of my best scores ever. I had a lousy driver, didn’t know the course as I’d never played it before, had jet lag, and didn’t have my putter – but still managed my second best score thanks to these irons. The sand wedge was golden… I used that club on everything 40 yds and in, and couldn’t miss the pin. Easy loft and great roll. My lower irons… specifically the 4 iron – by the end of the round I’d minimized any slice and could expect 200 yds. My pitching wedge – ended up 120 yards on a medium swing. I never have an issue overshooting the green, yet did so 3 times – once by 25 yds…LOL.

Look.. Bertha’s are known for forgiveness and shooting straight. But Taylormade just got a new client. These clubs are now in my bag and I get better with every round. Confidence has grown and my expectations of any shot 140 yds and in are that I’ll put it on the pin. I never realized how a set of clubs could change your game (I had a pretty good set to begin with!).

These irons are long. Easier and more forgiving than a “better player” iron (blade/forged), but somehow lacks that “sweet spot” feel when struck perfectly. Only drawback is the finish. They look great when they are brand new and fresh out of the box, but after a couple of rounds and the banging in the golf bag, that dark finish gets easily scuffed up. I would have given this 5 stars were it not for the way the irons look after a few rounds. You may want to invest in iron covers to perserve the finish a little longer.
