How to Execute a Basic Golf Swing
There are people who believe that golf players are born with the gift and talent to play the game inside them. This means that they have the talent and this is what they can do and achieve the best. Others believe that to be a good golfer all one needs is to train hard and be serious about it. Even so, this may not be the case as research studies carried out state that this is a game where people can spend a lifetime trying to master it.
Mastering the game may prove to be very hard especially when you look at the driving, chipping, water hazards and more. But if you are in a situation that you need to make a basic golf swing as it may bring you more success, do it by all means. You may even have gone to the golf course and are playing against your boss with the sole aim of winning. What you need to know is how you can make a basic golf swing that will bring about good results. All that one need is to be on the golf course and follow the following major steps as they are helpful.
The first step that you need to do is determining whether you use your right hand or the left hand. In determining which hand you use you are in a better position since this makes you feel natural to swing the club. It is difficult to see a right handed person doing a left swing and a left handed doing a right swing. Most of the persons who are left handed always do left hand swings and those that are right handed to right hand swings.
The next step you should follow is to grip the golf club with a grip. Make sure that the hand which is dominant is placed one hand length down the handle. At this point the palm should be open and the index finger of the other placed between the ring finger and the pinky finger. The other fingers should be wrapped on the club except the thumb which should be pointing on the ground on the same side as the grip.
The next step while having a basic golf swing is keeping the legs shoulder width apart and bend the knees slightly. You should be in a position that is comfortable. The ball should be placed a good distance away from you so that you can strike it easily. It should be near the front foot and not the back one. Your head should be focused down and your eyes on the ball when making the swing to ensure there is contact. Keeping your head down will prevent your body from moving up. The club should be raised over the head and its head should be targeting the ball. Your wrist should be in a steady position when you want to hit the ball. Following all these steps will most definitely lead to a good swing.
